New York Times Comitted Journalism Malpractice in Trying to Excuse Sessions Lying

Do They Really Think Sucking Up to Trump Will Work

The evidence is clear, video tape tends to be that way, Beauregard Sessions lied in his testimony in his confirmation hearing.  Whether or not he committed perjury is the decision the Justice Department or the Senate must make (the standard for perjury is not lying, it is much stricter).  But he did lie.

The NYT has cast questions on something that is not questionable.

"Congressional Republicans began breaking ranks to join Democrats in demanding that Mr. Sessions recuse himself from overseeing an investigation into contacts between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. Those calls came after the disclosure that Mr. Sessions himself spoke with the Russian ambassador last year, in seeming contradiction to his testimony at his confirmation hearing." (emphasis added)

What, 'seeming' contradiction. The contradiction is clear and certain. What in the world is the Times thinking here? Trump has crticized the Times on many occasions. In this case he would be right, but don't expect him to do so.
