Rex Tillerson - New Sec of State - Is He on Our Side or Theirs?

Yeah, Probably Theirs

Remember The Good Old Days When Conservatives Thought Russia was an Evil Empire?

That's Before They Figured Out The Could Make a Buck from the Totalitarians

The Good News, the Look on Mitt Romney's Face When He Realized He Had Been Played, Again.

So the Commies best friend is about to nominate the head of Exxon Mobil to be the Secretary of State.  Here's a summary of just how stupid that idea is.

Tillerson has no experience in the public sector, a first in modern history for a potential secretary of state. Tillerson, 64, joined ExxonMobil in 1975, after receiving a civil engineering degree from the University of Texas. He worked his way up through the ranks, beginning as a production engineer and becoming chairman and chief executive in 2006.

Well qualifications and experience was always over-rated.

Tillerson received the Order of Friendship from Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2013. Tillerson's work with ExxonMobil included a stretch working for Exxon Neftegas Ltd., putting him in charge of the subsidiary's fields in Russia and the Caspian Sea.

Think about the kind of person you need to be to get an Order of Friendship from Putin.

Tillerson is opposed to sanctions against Russia for taking part of the Ukraine.  Wonder why, wonder no more.

Tillerson's stake in ExxonMobil will certainly raise questions at a confirmation hearing. Once Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, the United States instituted sanctions against Russia that froze ExxonMobil's Arctic agreement. Were those sanctions to be lifted, the deal would probably move forward — making Tillerson's shares of ExxonMobil stock much more valuable.

Yep, we know whose side he's going to be on.  His own, Russia's and Exxon.  The U. S., well maybe if he has time.
