Is It Possible to Feel Sorry For Mitt Romney? Nah

Donald Trump Interviewed Mitt Romney to ‘Torture’ Him, Roger Stone Says

Mitt Romney has had two chances to prove that he is a stand up guy, a person whose principles rise above ambition, a person who stands by what he believes rather than cashes in those beliefs in pursuit of higher office.  The first opportunity came in 2012.  Romney had personally designed much of the Massachusetts health care plan, a plan that contained a requirement everyone have health insurance.  He knew that was a requirement, yet in running for President in 2012 he abandoned that belief to secure the Republican nomination.

Mitt's second opportunity came this year, when he condemned Donald Trump in the strongest terms possible.  Once Trump won(?) Mitt could have retained his dignity.  Instead he walked back his comments in return for consideration as Secretary of State.  So the following is what he deserves.

"During a Sunday appearance on InfoWars with Alex Jones, a conspiratorial media outlet that has become a mouthpiece of the next president, Stone called Romney a “choker” and said that Trump was simply toying with him.
Donald Trump was interviewing Mitt Romney for Secretary of State in order to torture him,” Stone claimed on the program. “To toy with him. And given the history, that’s completely understandable. Mitt Romney crossed a line. He didn’t just oppose Trump, which is his democratic right, he called him a phony and a fraud. And a con man. And that’s not the kind of man you want as Secretary of State.” "
