Abigail Van Buren is
better known to everyone as ‘Dear Abby’ although her real name is Pauline Phillips. She along with her late twin sister ‘Ann
Landers’ wrote advice columns in the daily newspapers. The New York Times has a wonderfully
written obituary, and at the end is this reproduction of an advice comment
that so highly reflects on Ms. Van Buren that nothing else need be said.
