Who Could Have Seen These Stories Coming?

Dominique Strauss-Kahn resigned as Managing Director of the IMF.  Anyone know why?

The WP reports Dick Cheney’s daughter says the former VP’s memoir will have “strong views”.  You think?  This is reported in the Entertainment Section.  In the book section we expect it under “Fiction”.

Also in the WP “Physicist Stephen Hawking says God is not ‘necessary’ for the creation of the universe”.  God is expected to issue a statement saying Stephen Hawking is not necessary for the creation of the universe.

In Cannes, a Danish movie director expressed sympathy for Hitler.  The reports are now coming out that this has caused some controversy.

In western New York, where there is a very close special House election, voters approved most school budgets, many with property tax increases.  For the Republican candidate the area is recovering from anti-tax fever at the wrong time.

USA Today reports that the Census Bureau reports a boom in the aged population.  A complete surprise to demographers everywhere. .
