John Boehner (R,OH) Says Medicare Had Only Small Role in NY 26th Defeat

And Other Wishful Thinking

The Republican Speaker of the House today said that the

Medicare issue

played only a small part in his party's loss of a "safe" Rpublican seat in western New YOrk's Special Election on Tuesday.

In other news, Republican spokepersons said

Hurricane Katrina played only a small part in flooding New Orleans in 2006

Barack Obama played only a small part in the Republican loss of the Presidency in 2008

Lehman Brothers played only a small part in the financial crisis of 2008-09

Bernie Madoff played on a small part in his Ponzi scheme.

Mr. Boehner also said that he would have further comment upon his return to reality.
