Newton Mayor Setti Warren has become the second prominent Democrat to join the race to challenge Sen. Scott Brown (R).
This just goes to show how weak the Democrats are in this race, when the Mayor of Newton is considered a “major” candidate.
Politico reports that the Special House Race in western New York is very close. This district is solidly Republican, so even a close win could be considered a big loss for the Ryan Plan for Medicare, which is the major issue in the race.
Newt Gingrich is expected to announce soon that he is a candidate for the Presidency. The Dismal Political Economist continues to maintain that this is just a ploy to make Mitt Romney look good.
Uninsured Americans are leaving hospitals with about $49 billion in unpaid bills according to a USA Today story.
