So Republican Gov. Scott Walker and the Legislature Will
Decide For Them
Wisconsin Gov. Scott
Walker has signed a contentious Republican bill that would require women
seeking an abortion to view an ultrasound of the fetus before the procedure and
prohibit doctors from performing abortions unless they have admitting
privileges at a local hospital.
The Republican-controlled Legislature passed
the bill last month. It would require abortion providers to point out a fetus'
features on the ultrasound and have admitting privileges at a hospital within
30 miles to perform the procedure.
See Republicans have
concluded that they know best, not the doctors, not the patients, but a
bunch of legislators and politicians whose only medical training is putting a
bandage on a scrapped knee.
So what ever happened to conservative beliefs that
government should not interfere in the private lives of citizens, and should
not control health care? Oh, it fell to
a hypocrisy virus, and maybe every state legislator and governor who supports
this unwanted intrusion of the state into very personal and very private health
care matters should be forced to have an ultrasound to see if there is a way to
cure them of the horrific disease of hypocrisy.
