Just Another Multi-Millionaire for the Republican Cause
Wouldn't Employing Winners Be a Better Idea?
The election of 2010 was the best Republican climate in over 15 years yet a massively self funded campaign for the Senate by Republican and former head of HP, Carly Fiorina amounted to a loss by 10 points in a senate race in California . Mr. Fiorina had been introduced into politics as a key adviser to the losing campaign of Senator John McCain in 2008.
Based on this stellar record Ms. Fiorina is joining the National Senatorial Campaign Committee of the Republican party.
where her many business and civic achievements will make her an invaluable leader and fundraiser during this critical election cycle,”
The Democratic response was kind of clever, something unusual and different for Democrats
Apparently, Republicans are not only protecting tax breaks for millionaires; they’re also finding them jobs
And Ms. Fiorina’s
continued involvement in GOP politics suggest she may not be done with politics after her 2010 loss.
Which may be true, but the real question is, “Is Politics done with Ms. Fiorina?”. The Dismal Political Economist thinks “yes” is probably the right answer, but Ms. Fiorina may need to try another election or two for that to be confirmed. It’s ok, she can afford it.
A very nice and informative post. I really love to read and explore about California politics and I just subscribed to your post and hope you will be putting lots of readable stuff on political aspects of California. Thanks
