They Vote the Trump Line Issue after
Issue
The press which is about as shallow as
the shallow end of the kiddie pool will be praising Senators Corker
and Flake for standing up to the bully in the White House. But words
are all they offer. They are both leaving the Senate rather than
face losing a Republican primary. They could go out with principles
in tact, voting against the harsh policies of the Trumpet but instead
they will go lockstep in supporting tax cuts for the wealthy,
destruction of health care for the low income families, espulsion of
young men and women who were brought to the country illegally when
they were children and had not choice in the matter, etc, etc, etc.
Here
is the lowdown on Sen. Flake.
But
Flake's peril is especially remarkable when you consider that he has
among the most conservative records in the Senate —
and
in the House before that. Despite that, he created an untenable
situation for himself by criticizing Trump and separating himself
from the president's signature issues, which he conspicuously
mentioned in his quote.
And same conservative record applies to
Corker. They will be replaced by the truly repulsive Republicans but
the good news is that the nation will see them for what they are.
