No Fairness on Sunday
House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi appeared on Meet the Press. She wanted to talk about the tax bill, but instead the moderator pressed her relentlessly on Bill Clinton and his actions of 20 years ago. When she tried to talk about current events she was pressed relentlessly on Democrats and given no time or opportunity to talk about the Republican President who bragged about assaulting women and the Republican Senate candidate who faces highly credible accusations of child molestation.
When the Republican Senator Rob Portman then came on he got to talk about the Democrats, got to make a pitch for the tax bill and got to totally ignore the questions about Republicans. He gave no answers and was not even pressed like Ms. Pelosi.
Portman was clearly uncomfortable, but chose to go with party over morality. Once a decent person, it appears Portman has sold his sole for Republican gains. As for the media, despite their protests they clearly are sensitive to the unsupported claims of bias against conservatives and so they try to equate Democrats and Republicans when it is only one party that finds a sexual predator acceptable as a serious Senate candidate.
