Gun Lobby Notches Another Big Win – Preserves the Rights of a Violent Criminal to Get Assault Rifles

The big story on the Texas shooting is not that 26 people were killed. They were not victims, they were soldiers in the war to prevent the government from taking everyone's guns away and imposing a dictatorship, something that has apparently happened many times, but only in the minds of the gun nuts.

No the big story is that a person who was also armed fought back against the gunman. See that is why we need unlimited guns, we need people armed so that they can attack the people who massacre women and children in church. As for the fact that a person with a violent past got guns, well that is just the price we have to pay for the gun nuts to have an arsenal.

Now it turns out that the Air Force should have listed the killer in a data base so he could not buy guns.  But  you know, people make mistakes.  And so the idea that the gun lobby would call for greater resources to prevent this, well, let's just say they will get around it right after Paul Ryan makes an honest statement on taxes.
