Contrasting Immigration Policies – (1) Mr. Obama Not to Deport Young People Who Came as Children – (2) Arizona Sheriff Arrests 6 Year Old – (3) Mitt Romney Won’t Make a Decision or take a Position

Okay America Choose Between Those Three

Last week President Obama announced a change in U. S. policy.  At this time the U. S. will allow young people who were brought to this country as young children and have been model citizens to stay and work.  When asked about this policy, Mitt Romney who had taken a hard line position on immigration in the primaries flip-flopped from that hard line position into a no-line position.

In Arizona a sheriff who is being investigated by the Justice Department for violating the civil rights of Hispanics spoke proudly about arresting a six year old girl. (thanks to Think Progress)

Maricopa County Sheriff Office deputies arrested a 6-year-old suspected illegal immigrant Friday, the day President Barack Obama softened the country's deportation policy toward young illegal immigrants.

The sheriff, Joe Arpaio was positively ecstatic.

"Where was she going? What are they going to do with her? We're trying to get to the bottom of this right now," Sheriff Joe Arpaio said.

All of the other suspected illegal immigrants, who claimed to be from Mexico, were booked into jail.

"We enforce the human-smuggling laws here," Arpaio said. "Every chance I can get to take action on my own without turning them over to ICE, I do. Especially with the new policy the president has."

Well we cannot answer Mr. Arpaio’s questions about the despicable criminal and incorrigible law breaking six year old.  But to help out here is some of our speculations on the horrible and despicable acts a six year old could be planning to do.

  1. She was planning on robbing the Yuma stagecoach.

  1. She was going to pretend to be a mature short person and get a role in a remake of the Wizard of Oz movie, thus taking a job away from a real American.

  1. She was going to set up a program to bring 2 year olds across the border to work picking Arizona’s produce, putting thousands of farm workers out of work.

  1. She was going to set up a massive Ponzi scheme on the internet, or make money by pretending to be a Nigerian who needed help getting his money out of the country and was willing to pay you to help her.

  1. She was going to enroll in the University of Arizona and claim to be eligible for in-state tuition.

Of course it is always possible that the young girl was what she seemed to be, a lonely, lost little child in need of love and care.  But that would be unlikely, wouldn’t it.
